Redback Travels is committed to preserving the environment. We feel it is important to set an example wherever we go in order to create a healthy environment in which to live.
Some of our practices include:
- Using local guides whenever possible and supporting the local economy by staying in family run guesthouses
- Staying in lodging that adheres to sustainable practices through their building methods, water use and food grown onsite
- Providing our guests with reusable grocery bags and stainless steel water bottles to minimize the use of plastic
- Travel in small groups using local transport wherever possible to avoid using extra fuel
- Providing our guides with biodegradable soap and LED headlamps to minimize impact and waste in the backcountry
- Picking up trash on every hike
- Limit the use of printed materials to save paper. Print all collateral on 100% recycled paper.
